Note: From the The Decatur Daily Republican. From the The Decatur Daily Republican. DEATH OF MRS. DR ROBERTS A Well-Known Decatur Lady Finds Rest In The Last Sleep Mrs Cynthia E. Roberts passed away this forenoon at 11:30 o'clock at the family residence on West Prarie Avenue, age 55 years. The immediate cause of death was heart failure, but she had been a patient sufferer for many years with an ovarian tumor. Throughout her sufferings she was the constant loving care of her devoted children and she was given the best of medical attendance. The deceased was born in Albion, New York, and resided in Decatur nearly 40 years. She was the widow of Dr. James E. Roberts, who died about 18 years ago. The surviving children are Will T. Roberts, James T. Roberts, Richard Roberts, Misses Alice Roberts and Lucy Roberts. Her sisters are Miss L. C. Close and Mrs. Charles L. Griswold and her brother J.A. Close of San Jose, California. Mrs. Roberts was known and admired for her many christian graces, and was a consistent member of the Presbyterian church.
