Note	Suspect he then emigrated to America. The United States Federal Census of 1880 has a Joseph Close (aged 37, born England) living with wife Hannah (aged 27, born Illinois), son Anthony J Close (aged 3, born Missouri), daughter Sarah A Close (aged 2, born Missouri) .. and significantly .. brother Anthony Close (aged 34, born England) all living in Dale, Atchison, Missouri. Brother Joseph also disappeared from the UK at around the same time. He then seems to have come back to England.
Note	He then seems to have gone back to America. He has two children born there in the 1880's... and then he seems to have come back again - he has another child born in Settle, Yorkshire. Judging by the birth dates of his children, they left just after marrying in 1883, and arrived back some time between 1889 and 1896.
Immigration	Ellis Island record. Entered America on the Majestic from Liverpool via Queenstown, Ireland on 29 April, destination Missouri.
